Position Objectives:

The overall role of this position is to mobilize the community, organize awareness sessions regarding immunization, vaccination, VPDS, health and hygiene related issues, and liaising with relevant offices & stakeholders.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

1

Conduct baseline surveys/assessments for the immunization programme.

Coordinate and mobilize communities on conducting focus group discussions and Village Health Committees (VHC) in the target areas.

Conduct assessment on Health and Hygiene practices in the target areas.

Conduct awareness sessions/walks in schools/colleges/Maddrasas sessions.

Social Mobilizer will form a health management committee from the community in each UC to take ownership and management at the local level for the facilities.

Social Mobilizer will ensure active community support for the project activities and ownership.

Develop strong relationships with the community and engage diverse groups, organizations, community leaders, and residents of the intervention areas.

Lead the formation of Village Health Committees (VHC), School clubs and WASH committees in the community.

Reporting the progress on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Launch and disseminate community awareness campaigns in the targeted areas.

Ensure close coordination with the technical team of immunization and provide support in the implementation of project activities.

Identify beneficiaries for and document success stories/case studies/ human interest stories.

Education

Intermediate 14 years education in Social Sciences or Life Sciences or in any relevant field from  recognized Institute/Board

Experience 

Minimum 02 years of working experience  with PEI, EPI or other relevant health projects specially immunization, Ability of work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues. Displays culture, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.

Skills/Knowledge 

• Fluency in spoken and written in Urdu/ Pashtu & English 

• strong knowledge of social mobilization and survey tools.

• Experience in conducting surveys is an advantage.

• Work towards the achievement of PRCS Vision and long-term objectives

• Flexibility to travel to conduct field visits for monitoring and data collection 

• Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point).

• Must have local domicile of Barshore.
