Purpose of the Position: The Community Information Collector will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and reporting field-level information and community data related to project activities, beneficiaries and social mobilization interventions.

Key Responsibilities

The Community Information Collector shall perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:

  1. Conduct household surveys, community profiling, and field-level data collection activities.
  2. Collect accurate information regarding beneficiaries, project interventions, infrastructure schemes, and community needs.
  3. Assist in baseline surveys, assessments, monitoring visits, and data verification exercises.
  4. Coordinate with Village Councils, community members, and field teams during data collection activities.
  5. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of collected information and records.
  6. Use prescribed data collection tools and formats as required by the project.
  7. Verify and validate collected data before submission to supervisors.
  8. Support community mobilization and awareness activities when required.
  9. Assist in updating village profiles, beneficiary databases, and project records.
  10. Ensure timely submission of completed forms, survey records, and field reports.
  11. Report data discrepancies, field challenges, and operational issues to the supervisor.
  12. Support monitoring and evaluation teams during assessments and field visits.
  13. Assist in documentation of project activities, case studies, and success stories where required.
  14. Maintain proper filing and safe handling of data collection materials and equipment.
  15. Perform any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  1. Master degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Information Technology, Management Sciences, or any relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
  2. Candidates with prior experience in surveys, data collection, community mobilization, or development projects will be preferred.
  3. Experience working in rural or community-based projects will be an advantage.
  4. Basic knowledge of MS Office applications will be preferred.
  5. Familiarity with local communities and socio-cultural dynamics of merged districts will be an asset.
  6. Preference will be given to local domicile holders of project targeted districts.
  7. Relevant experience in data collection, surveys, or community-based activities will be preferred.
  8. Ability and willingness to travel extensively within assigned communities and field areas.
  9. Good communication and coordination abilities.
  10. Ability to work in challenging field environments.
