Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan invites applications from qualified, experienced, and dynamic candidates for the position of Research Associate based at Central Office, Karachi and Regional Office, Chitral.

Overall Responsibility:

Research Associates will play a key role in the implementation of service delivery study under the overall guidance of AKU BMI team and Elderly Care Project Management. This position involves supporting research activity by collecting, analyzing, and managing data, coordinating field activities, and contributing to reports and publications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of research service delivery study.
  • Compling quantitative data and supporting qualitative data collection.
  • Ensure adherence to study protocol and procedures through monitoring.
  • Extract, clean and analyze patient data on key research indicators from the Health Management Information System and Electronic Health Record using relevant data analysis software.
  • Review physical records to ensure all data is input correctly, and no missing fields.
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with research ethics, informed consent procedures, and participant confidentiality.
  • Support in preparing progress reports, presentations, and research briefs (visualization).
  • Support in manuscript writing, publications, and dissemination of findings.
  • Coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, partners, and field teams.
  • Maintain research documentation and ensure compliance with ethical requirements.
  • Monitor project timelines and assist in achieving research milestones.
  • Carry out any other task/duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, Epidemiology, Development Studies, etc.).
  • Have 1 + years of experience of data collection and/or coordination of field-based research activities on health, or community programmes.
  • Can manage multiple tasks, teams, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of statistical software such as KoBo toolbox, SPSS, MS acccess, Excel.
  • Have experience working with community health initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly, document consistently, and and maintaining records properly.
