Education & Experience:
- Preferably masters in statistics or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics with 3 years relevant experience, Data Science, Computer Science, Social Sciences, or a related field with a focus on data analysis.
- Experience working with M&E teams and familiarity with programme monitoring systems.
- Previous experience in designing and implementing data management systems and dashboards is preferred.
- Experience in using data visualization tools and statistical software for reporting.
- Responsibilities:
- Clean, organize, and maintain datasets related to programme activities, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure the reliability of the information used for decision-making.
- Analyze large datasets to generate insights on programme performance, outcomes, and trends.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that clearly present data to various stakeholders, including management, field teams, and donors.
- Utilize statistical software (e.g. SPSS, Stata) to conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Management Information System (MIS) for efficient data collection, storage, and retrieval.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to inform programme adjustments, improve efficiency, and maximize impact.
- Ensure that all M&E data is stored in accordance with donor requirements and organizational standards for data protection.
- Prepare analytical reports and summaries based on data collected, providing insights into programme effectiveness and progress.
- Assist in the preparation of donor reports by providing timely and accurate data analyses.
- Maintain data tracking sheets to monitor programme indicators and ensure timely reporting
- Design and produce data visualizations, charts, graphs, and dashboards for presentations to various stakeholders.
- Present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences, including field staff, management, and external partners.
- Create data briefs, infographics, and reports that highlight key trends and insights for programme monitoring and decision-making.
- Provide training and technical support to district-level M&E staff and other team members in data collection, management, and analysis.
- Develop user guides and materials for staff to ensure accurate data entry and understanding of data systems.
- Foster a data-driven culture within the team by promoting best practices in data analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with programme teams, M&E staff, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure data alignment and consistency across all programme areas.
- Coordinate with external consultants, partners, and field staff to gather and integrate data from various sources.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Programme Support Unit and provide data-related insights for programme planning and evaluation.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SPSS, Stata, R, or similar software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong data management skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent report writing and data presentation skills, including the ability to visualize complex data clearly.
- Ability to manage and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Familiarity with M&E frameworks and experience in developing data collection tools and methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
