The Health Economist will play a vital role in assessing the economic feasibility and cost-effectiveness of innovative active case-finding (ACF) strategies for tuberculosis (TB) in Pakistan. This role is responsible for performing comprehensive economic analyses to evaluate new diagnostic tools, approaches, and resource allocation within the project. The Health Economist will collaborate closely with project leadership, the TB Program team, the International Costing Expert, and global partners, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Fund, and Stop TB Partnership.
Key responsibilities include designing and conducting cost-effectiveness analyses, developing detailed reports, and presenting actionable recommendations. The Health Economist will be a key advisor in strategic decision-making for program expansion, aiming to maximize the efficiency, scalability, and impact of TB case-finding initiatives nationwide. This work will be particularly crucial as Mercy Corps prepares for the Global Fund’s upcoming GC8 funding cycle.
