Job Title: Soil Scientist/Expert 

Project Summary: 

The revival of the Balochistan Water Resources Programme (RBWRP) aims to address the water scarcity and resource management challenges in the Balochistan region. The program focuses on revitalizing and improving water infrastructure, enhancing water conservation and efficiency measures, and implementing sustainable practices for water resource management. Through various initiatives and investments, the program seeks to ensure reliable water supply for agricultural, industrial, and domestic purposes, promote equitable distribution of water resources, and support socio-economic development in Balochistan. 

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our project as a Soil Scientist/expert. This role will provide essential support to our project needs in sampling, analysing the soil of various projects sites according to agricultural practices. Further project related tasks may be assigned by the team leader and/or by the supervisor. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in project functions within a dynamic work environment. 

The employee in this role will directly report to the Team Lead of the RBWRP. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop soil sampling and analysis.
• Evaluate soil properties and their impact on agriculture and the environment.
• Develop soil management plans.
• Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and presentations on findings.
  
  

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields such as soil science, agriculture water chemistry and agriculture or comparable subject. Proven experience in similar contexts with at least 3 years.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
