CARE started its operations in Pakistan as CARE International Pakistan (CP) in 2005 and is currently registered in the country with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Economic Affairs Division (EAD). Since our establishment, CIP has worked across all geographies in Pakistan, from the most vulnerable remote areas to developed urban cities to support people in overcoming poverty through creating opportunities for self-reliance.
Internship Objective
Consistent with the CP’s culture to promote and foster a learning environment, the internship program is designed to provide a limited number of undergraduate/graduate individuals with opportunities to obtain practical work experience. The Intern will be closely working with the MEAL department of CP on a full-time basis, in the Islamabad Office.
The internship program presents an excellent platform for young professionals to build their capacity and enhance their knowledge about the humanitarian and development sector and is directed towards individuals who demonstrate a keen interest in producing research, writing concept notes and reports, developing presentations, analyzing data, and engaging in project implementation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will be a part of the CARE “She Feeds the World” project to improve the program quality through an innovative programming approach and enhanced operations. The Intern will be assisting in performing MEAL tasks across. Below are illustrative tasks that describe the general nature and level of work to be performed by the person/s assigned to this internship:
Assist the team in various MEAL activities, including research, writing, editing documents, compiling data and developing presentations.
- Assist in handling complaints, take follow-ups, and share responses with the complainants.
- Assist the team in organizing events/meetings/workshops with project partners and beneficiaries.
- Compile bi-weekly/monthly data of complaints and feedback received from the beneficiaries.
- Compile action plans for monitoring findings every month and share the data with the supervisor.
- Taking notes and compiling meeting minutes.
- Proofread reports, concept notes, and other program documentation.
- Assist the supervisor in undertaking project interventions.
- Support in administrative and clerical tasks such as typing, printing, filing, and recordkeeping of information; and
- Perform any other task/ assignment assigned by the management
