About the role:

The Project Manager will oversee the Green Church Initiative Phase-2 Project, ensuring successful implementation and management of all activities, aimed at improving climate resilience in the target Churches and communities in District Faisalabad. This role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing project resources, and ensuring compliance with project objectives and donor requirements. The job holder will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, networking, and coordination at the district level. Additionally, this role will involve providing financial and administrative support to the PMS main office in Islamabad for this project.

About the Project:

PMS is going to implement the Green Church Initiative Phase-II project in Faisalabad, targeting 10 local churches across both urban and rural areas, with an expected impact on 24,500 individuals at the household level. The initiative will engage local influencers, religious and community leaders, and relevant stakeholders, including NGOs, academia, and government departments, to promote environmental sustainability and social empowerment.

 Your impactful goals will include:

1.     Project Management:

  • Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all project activities are executed according to the approved work plan and within budget constraints.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure that project activities align with the established objectives and goals.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the Project as per project SOPs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate gender-sensitive approaches into the project.

 2.    Networking and Coordination:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with local stakeholders, partners Churches, and relevant organizations.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events related to the project.
  • Facilitate collaboration between project team members and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the community, Church leadership, government line departments, and local stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of social cohesion and development initiatives.

 3.    Financial Support:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
  • Monitor project expenditures and maintain financial records.
  • Process financial transactions and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

 4.    Administrative Support:

  • Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping, documentation, and reporting.
  • Coordinate logistics for project-related activities and events.
  • Provide administrative to the provincial manager for this project.

 5.    District-Level Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day project activities at the district level.
  • Ensure that project activities adhere to relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of district-level operations to the Provincial Manager.

 6.    Project Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare project progress reports and presentations.
  • Ensure the project-related documentation, database, and filing.
  • Help in gathering data and information for project evaluations and audits.
  • Support the Provincial Manager in tracking project milestones and deliverables.
  • Prepare regular reports for achievements, challenges, and lessons learned for management and relevant stakeholders.

 7.    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with various departments within the organization to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Communicate and coordinate with external stakeholders and partners as needed.

 8.    Problem-solving and Issue Resolution:

  • Identify and address potential project-related issues and challenges.
  • Work with the project team to find solutions and implement corrective actions.

 9.    Resource Management:

  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

 10.  Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit regular project reports to the CEO’s Office and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including financial records and progress reports.

What we are looking for:

Education & Knowledge

  • Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, and Development Studies  

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the non-profit or development sector.
  • The Candidate must have experience of working in church projects.

Functional Competencies/Skills

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, budget management, and report writing.
  • Familiarity with the local context and culture of Jaranwala, Faisalabad is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
