Job Description:

Position Objective:

A donor funded project is seeking a Provincial Coordinator for Balochistan province. The Provincial Coordinator for Balochistan will lead the implementation of Immunization and EPI-based project activities across the province, ensuring alignment with project goals and national immunization priorities. The role involves close coordination with provincial health authorities, field teams, and other stakeholders to enhance immunization coverage and achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning and Implementation:
• Lead the planning, implementation, and reporting of all project activities in the province in accordance with the approved work plan.
• Develop and manage detailed district-wise workplans with timelines, ensuring alignment with national and provincial immunization strategies.
• Coordinate with district teams to ensure timely execution of project activities, including immunization campaigns, community outreach, and capacity-building sessions.
2. Stakeholder Coordination and Advocacy:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the Provincial Health Department, EPI focal persons, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate program activities.
• Represent the project in provincial-level meetings, workshops, and advocacy events to promote immunization and EPI initiatives.
• Advocate for policy and operational support to strengthen immunization services.
3. Field Team Management:
• Supervise and mentor district teams to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor team performance and provide necessary guidance and capacity-building to address challenges.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for program monitoring and evaluation.
• Review and consolidate district-level data for provincial reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure timely reporting of data to the Head Office
• Document lessons learned, challenges, and success stories for internal and donor reporting.

5. Program Oversight:
• Ensure adherence to financial, operational, and programmatic guidelines at the provincial level.
• Collaborate with technical and project teams to adapt implementation strategies based on ground realities and monitoring outcomes.
6. Communication and Outreach:
• Work closely with the communications team to collect and disseminate success stories, project updates, and advocacy materials.
• Facilitate awareness campaigns to engage communities and increase immunization coverage, particularly in underserved areas.
7. Risk Management and Problem-Solving:
• Identify potential risks or challenges and work with project leadership to mitigate them.
• Ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies.
8. Additional Responsibilities:
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the organization

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: MBBS or equivalent qualification is mandatory. Additional qualifications such as MPH, MSPH, or a related field are highly desirable.
• Experience:
• At least 5 years of experience in immunization, communicable disease control programs, or related public health initiatives in Pakistan.
• Proven experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, and health systems strengthening, preferably in Balochistan.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of immunization and EPI programs, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with donor-funded health projects, is an advantage.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English, Urdu, and local languages of Balochistan (e.g., Pashto, Balochi, or Brahui).

• Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the province and occasionally to other locations as needed.
