Job Description:

Position Objective and Specific Tasks.

A new vaccination initiative is being launched to enhance immunization services both demand generation and service delivery in remote and underserved communities. This project requires a dedicated Field Officer to ensure for a crucial role in engaging directly with communities to facilitate effective vaccination outreach. They will support district staff in implementing vaccination initiatives and ensure that all efforts align with program objectives, with a particular focus on reaching zero-dose children. Reporting to the District Coordinator, the Field Officer will collaborate closely with local health teams & social mobilizers to ensure seamless field operations and the successful execution of vaccination campaigns.

Key Responsibilities.

• Conduct community engagement activities to enhance vaccination outreach and awareness.
• Support district staff in implementing vaccination strategies and initiatives.
• Ensure that vaccination efforts align with program objectives, particularly in identifying and reaching zero-dose children.
• Collaborate with local health teams UC PEI/EPI staff to ensure smooth and effective field operations.
• Monitor and report on vaccination outreach activities to the District Coordinator.
• Monitor and support social mobilization activities arranged by social mobilizers.
• Validate Micro plans of vaccinators to be aligned with program objectives.
• Validate social mobilizers activities and assess the effectiveness of awareness and sensitization among communities with hesitancy.
• Prepare weekly/monthly field visit plans and submission of district coordinator.
• Prepare weekly/monthly report of activities.
• Prepare UC level micro plans along with social mapping.
• Address challenges in the field and provide recommendations for improving outreach effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support program implementation.
• Assist District Coordinator in the compilation of district data for reporting to M&E Officer.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of data and reports.
• Immediately report any unusual finding and/or incident happening in the field.

Educational Requirements and Skills. 

The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications and attributes:

• At least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant discipline.
• At least two years of relevant field working experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates having experience with health sector NGO. 
• Strong knowledge of field and result oriented approach.
• Strong knowledge for the use of gadgets and data entry.
• Ability to find solution and to solve problem.
• Strong communication and writing skills and willingness to travel in the field.
• Ability to achieve key project indicators.
• Skills in organizing and record keeping.
• Capacity to work individually and within a team.
