Job Description:

Position Objective and Specific Tasks.

A new mobile vaccination initiative is being launched to enhance healthcare accessibility in remote and underserved communities. This project requires a dedicated Driver to support operations by ensuring the safe and efficient transport of the mobile vaccination team, supplies, vaccines, and logistical support to designated locations.

 Key Responsibilities.

• The Driver will be responsible for operating and maintaining the mobile vaccination unit, ensuring the safe and timely transport of mobile team members to remote vaccination sites while delivering vaccines, medical supplies, and other essential logistics.
• Drive staff to appointments, and field activities as assigned.
• Assist with the loading, unloading, and secure transportation of office goods, medical equipment, and logistical supplies.
• Collect and deliver goods, documents, and essential supplies related to project activities.
• Operate the vehicle in accordance with the Organization’s policies, ensuring compliance with all safety and operational guidelines.
• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, including regular checks on oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, and overall functionality to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure the vehicle remains clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside, at all times.
• Maintain accurate vehicle travel and maintenance logs in accordance with organizational policy.
• Track and report daily mileage, fuel consumption, and other operational metrics to ensure efficient logistical planning.
• Represent the organization professionally when interacting with external stakeholders by maintaining a tidy appearance, being helpful, and demonstrating courtesy.
• Promptly report any vehicle-related incidents or accidents to the supervisor and assist in investigations and follow-ups.
• Notify the supervisor of any mechanical issues, maintenance needs, or logistical challenges that may impact operations.
• Support the coordination of transportation logistics to optimize routes, fuel efficiency, and timely deliveries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the organization’s operational and logistical needs.

 Educational Requirements and Qualifications.

The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications and attributes:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 5-6 years of experience with projects.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with a spotless driving record.
• Demonstrated experience as a professional driver or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety protocols, and traffic regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with office staff and team members.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to ensure efficient transportation and logistics.
• Physically capable of handling loading, unloading, and routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Demonstrates adaptability, problem-solving, integrity, resilience, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
