Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Medical Officer/Family Physician for its Karachi Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular family medicine clinics
  • Monitoring and providing general care to patients in outpatient clinics
  • Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions
  • Has potential to effectively manage patients providing holistic & cost-effective care
  • Provide community-based services beyond facility settings, if needed
  • Should be fully aware of the mission and key objectives of the AKHS, P and endeavours to implement with team spirit within the department
  • Provide health education to patients
  • Do home visits where necessary especially of terminally ill, home bound, hospital discharge and bedridden cases
  • Provide emergency coverage where necessary
  • Keep record of patients, diagnosis and management of AKHSP provided tools (paper based and digital)
  • Ensure all medical protocols while providing patient care
  • Ensure all quality protocols are followed as per AKHSP policy
  • Should be a team player, with good communication skills
  • Willing to work at different AKHSP centers
  • Willing to work in shifts

Qualification & Competencies:

  • MBBS with valid PMDC licence
  • Diploma, MCPS, FCPS in any specialty would be preferred
  • Ability to use digital tools 
  • Excellent communication and customer dealing skills
  • Adequate computer skills and command on English language
