Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Works in line with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Principles.
  • Adheres to the Security rules and procedures.
  • Respects and observes the Staff Rules & Regulations of PRC/NRC.
  • To take vitals of the patients
  • To pass IV/IM Cannula, Injectables drugs to the patients as per Medical Officer Prescription
  • Cleaning and dressing of the wound as per Medical Officer Prescription
  • To maintain the ward cleanliness as per standards
  • To maintain Emergency Tray regularly (Instruments, Medicines, Injectables etc.)
  • To properly follow the waste management protocol and practices
  • To ensure that the waste is properly discarded/disposed off
  • To follow the proper equipment sterilization procedures
  • To maintain proper reports of emergency medicine usage
  • To record patients’ data including OPD register, emergency Tray register, prescriptions, both in hard and soft form
  • To accompany the emergency patients to the referral point
  • To ensure that the medical equipment installed in the ambulance is functional and properly maintained
  • Assist Medical Officer in OPD
  • To take blood/urine etc. samples of the patients
  • To properly use PPEs during the official duty time
  • To strictly ensure that the equipment is properly sterilized and there is 0% chance of disease transformation among the patients
  • Motivation through Inter Personnel Communication
  • Participates in outreach Sessions
  • Ensure adherence to PHC standards as given by Department of Health to ensure good quality service.
  • Participate in training and meetings as planned by the management.
  • Stand in temporarily as medical technician in other health unit/services of cluster- when needed.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by PRCS management
  • Regular Reporting at all levels
  • The employee may be asked to perform duties and tasks assigned by the management as well as to provide support to other departments if so required.

Education

  • 2 years Health Diploma from a Government recognized institution

Experience

  • 1 Year relevant experience

Competencies

  • Fluency in Urdu, English and Pashto.
  • Flexibility to travel to conduct field visits for coordination purposes
  • Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point)

Domicile

KP (preference will be given to local candidates)
