About :

A national non-profit organization operating in Pakistan is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and experienced individual for the position of Program Development Manager, based at its Head Office in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Key Responsibilities :

I. Proposal and Concept Note Development

The Programme Development Manager will lead the organization's project development processes, ensuring alignment with holistic development standards and the strategic plan. This includes:

  • - Providing technical support and building organizational capacity to design high-quality, fundable programme interventions.
    - Ensuring the preparation of well-structured, competitive grant proposals and facilitating project planning and design processes.
    - Guiding proposal approval procedures and assessing the performance of the programme development team.
    - Exploring new programme opportunities, drafting concept notes and full project proposals, and engaging with partners, consultants, donor agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
    - Staying up to date with donor policies, application processes, calls for proposals, and reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance with these guidelines.
    - Conducting primary and secondary needs assessments to inform project development.
    - Developing fundraising strategies and identifying new funding sources for ongoing and future programmes.
    - Liaising effectively with donors and national and international partners to maintain productive relationships.

II. Communications and Visibility

The role will ensure effective internal and external communications and enhance the organizations visibility through:

  • - Representing the organization in external meetings, including clusters and technical working groups.
    - Leading and supporting visibility initiatives in coordination with field offices and project managers.
    - Preparing newsletters, publications, and other external communications.
    - Assisting project teams in developing promotional and visibility materials such as documentaries, success stories, infographics, and publications.
    - Designing analytical formats (charts, tables, graphs) for programme MIS and real-time information sharing.
    - Coordinating with project teams to collect data and information for communication purposes and preparing project-related updates and write-ups.
    - Providing editorial and technical support for stories and updates produced by the programme team.
    - Actively participating in coordination meetings and engaging in advocacy for principled humanitarian responses and equitable development programming.

III. Donor Reporting

The Programme Development Manager will play a key role in donor reporting, including:

  • - Collaborating closely with programme, M&E, and MIS staff to produce high-quality internal and external reports (e.g., progress reports, annual reports, project completion reports).
    - Ensuring timely submission of donor reports in accordance with reporting schedules and compliance requirements.
    - Drafting humanitarian analyses and situational reports in coordination with relevant teams.
    - Working with MIS staff to ensure data accuracy and quality presentation (graphics, maps, dashboards).
    - Overseeing report archiving, editing, and formatting for internal and external distribution.
    - Providing technical support and capacity-building on report preparation and quality assurance.
    - Contributing to the organization's MEAL system by helping design tools and methodologies for surveys and studies (Baseline, Midline, Endline, KAP, Meta-Evaluation, Tracer Studies, Market Assessments, Rapid Needs Assessments, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience :

  • - Master’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
    - Minimum of 7 years of professional and managerial experience in a relevant role.
