About the Role:

A humanitarian and Development organization is hiring an Education Specialist for the Education Project to oversee the technical components of the project interventions. The role focuses on contributing to the development of the education strategy, technical backstopping to the project team on quality implementation, capacity building, and ensuring implementation of the project in accordance with the donor guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a roadmap and SOPs for mainstreaming Education across all PMS programs.
  • Design sector-specific tools and templates to enhance program quality and consistency.
  • Conduct technical reviews of project reports and support teams in meeting donor and PMS standards.
  • Lead quality assurance and monitoring visits, utilizing Education-specific tools and frameworks.
  • Provide technical support in the planning and execution of project activities
  • Coordinate with consortium partners and education departments
  • Represent PMS at policy forums, technical roundtables, conferences, and other strategic events.
  • Mentor team members, encourage professional growth, and technical expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and coordinate with Finance and MEAL teams to meet external audit standards
  • Oversee SBCC and parental engagement campaigns
  • Implement program quality control measures, including the adoption of global best practices in the Education sector.
  • Monitor programme data and ensure quality reporting
  • Manage learning resources and safeguard protocols

Eligibility:

  • Master’s in Education, Development, or Social Sciences
  • 5–7 years’ experience managing education projects
  • Experience in public school teachers' training
Skills & Competencies:
  • Proven expertise in OOSC interventions, GESI, safeguarding, and MEAL
  • Strong communication, leadership, and field coordination skills
