Introduction:

Organization, in collaboration with the Donor, is seeking the services of a skilled Communication Specialist for a consultancy assignment to visually document the Gilgit-Baltistan Local Area Development Programme (GBLADP) in District Diamer.

This consultancy will focus on producing high-quality, gender-sensitive, and branded photo and video content to highlight the project’s interventions, community engagement, and beneficiary impact stories. The initial contract duration is six (6) months, with the possibility of extension for an additional six months based on performance and project requirements. 

Objective: To consistently produce high-quality photo and video content showcasing project interventions, beneficiary stories, and community engagement across all Union Councils (UCs) in District Diamer.

Scope of Work

Weekly Responsibilities

Photography:

  • Minimum of 30 high-resolution, edited photographs per week, with proper captions (who, what, where, when).
  • Content to include project interventions, beneficiary engagement, and gender-balanced participation.

Videography:

  • Minimum of 5–7 minutes of raw HD video footage per week, covering key activities, interviews, and community interactions.

Ensure branding compliance by:

Capturing visuals with Organization and donor logos (banners, standees, or branded materials present at field sites).

Following Organizations visibility guidelines and ethical and culturally sensitive documentation guidelines (especially with minors and women).

Monthly Responsibilities

Beneficiary Stories:

➔    Document and submit 2 impactful beneficiary stories per Union Council (UC) each month (text + photos).

➔    Stories must demonstrate project impact and ensure gender balance in representation.

Short Video Clips:

➔    Produce and deliver 2 edited HD video clips per UC each month, 40–60 seconds in length.

➔    At least 3-5 edited reels (1-2 minutes) following Organization & Donor branding guidelines (1–2 minutes) showcasing the project interventions and impact.

➔    Clips to showcase project interventions or beneficiary testimonials, with and without subtitles and branded per Organization and donor guidelines.

Final Documentary Contribution

  • Capture and archive key activities, interviews, and b-roll footage throughout the assignment to contribute to the final project documentary.
  • Ensure all raw content is well-organized and labeled for use in the documentary production.

Equipment Requirement

The consultant is required to use their own professional-grade equipment, including but not limited to:

  • DSLR/mirrorless cameras and lenses
  • External microphones (lapel and shotgun) for clear interview audio
  • Tripods, stabilizers, and portable lighting (as required)
  • Backup storage devices for secure archiving of footage

Reporting and Coordination

The consultant will report directly to the designated Project Focal Person at Organization.

Regular coordination with Organization project staff is required throughout the assignment to ensure alignment with project objectives, timely approvals, and adherence to branding and content guidelines.

Any issues, delays, or changes in the work plan must be communicated promptly to the Organization focal person

Compliance with Organization Consent Procedures and Child Protection Policy

Consent forms are mandatory for all females and minors featured in any visual content. All consent processes must strictly follow the Organization Child Protection Policy.

The consultant is required to coordinate closely with Organization project staff to ensure that consent is obtained ethical. Ownership and Usage Rights

All visual content (photos and videos) produced under this assignment will be the property of Organization. The consultant may not use the material for personal or commercial purposes without prior written permission obtained by Organization.
