Job Summary: The Project Officer will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the Project. His/her primary duty is to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets the required quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project planning: Collaborating with stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and budgets, and creating detailed project plans.
- Project coordination: Overseeing the project team and ensuring that all members are working towards the project goals, monitoring project progress, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Project reporting: Creating reports to communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders, and providing recommendations for project improvements.
- Resource management: Ensuring that project teams have the necessary resources to complete their tasks, such as equipment, funding, and personnel.
- Stakeholder engagement: Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as project staff, community members, to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.
- Risk management: Identifying potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Quality control: Ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Any other task assigned by the line manager/management.
Job Specifications:
Education:
- Masters Degree in Project Management, Development Sciences, Social Sciences or relevant field.
Work Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in NGOs/INGOs in the same position.
