Provision of Medical Screening Services for Children with Disabilities in Schools (Medical Team comprising “Ophthalmologist, ENT/audiologist, physiotherapist/orthopedic”).

Friends Welfare Association (FWA) invites qualified medical institutions, hospitals, diagnostic centers, and registered medical practitioners/individual consultants to submit proposals for the Medical Screening of Children with Disabilities in 50 girls’ primary schools across Mansehra and Battagram Districts.

The objective is to ensure early identification, timely referral, and support for children with disabilities through systematic screening and provision of assistive devices, promoting inclusive learning environments in schools.

Scope of Work

• Conduct school-based medical camps for Eye, Hearing, and Physical Screening.
• Medical team comprising 3 specialized medical practitioners (1-ophthalmologist, 2-ENT/audiologist, 3-physiotherapist/ orthopedic).
• Identify and document functional difficulties and disability types among children.
• Recommend suitable assistive devices and referrals for approximately 1,000 children with mild to moderate disabilities.

Tools:

• Conduct Eye Screening using required medical equipment.
• Conduct Hearing Screening using functional tests / equipment
• Observe for Physical Impairments (limb deformities, motor difficulty, posture challenges, etc.).

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be registered with relevant health authorities/PMDC.
• Licensed specialists in relevant medical fields (1-ophthalmologist, 2-ENT/audiologist, 3-physiotherapist/orthopedic).
• Proven experience in school/community-based screening or medical camps.
• Possess valid NTN and institutional/individual registration certificates.
• Local medical institutes/individuals (Mansehra & Batagram) will be given preference

Site/Camp Management

FWA will manage and arrange transportation, travel (from FWA office to field), and school-based camp logistics for the medical team.

• Institutional/individual profile
• List of specialists and credentials
• Per school camp cost estimates inclusive of all taxes & field expenses (meal, refreshment etc)
• Relevant registration and tax documents
