Job Description:

The Project Manager oversees the successful implementation of E-Vochure in Jaranwala, ensuring alignment with donor requirements (e.g., WFP) and organizational objectives. This role is responsible for strategic planning, team leadership, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of nutrition/food security interventions (e.g, fortified wheat flour distribution, e-Voucher systems). The Project Manager ensures timely, cost-effective, and gender-inclusive execution while maintaining compliance with humanitarian standards.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Implementation

  • Lead the end-to-end project cycle, including work plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies for Jaranwala.
  • Ensure adherence to WFP’s SOPs, fortification guidelines, and donor agreements.
  • Oversee field operations, including beneficiary targeting, distribution, and monitoring across 78schools, 8 chakkis, and 18 retail outlets.

2. Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Supervise a cross-functional team (M&E, SBCC, Logistics, Social Mobilizers) and foster collaborative problem-solving.
  • Conduct weekly review meetings to track progress, address bottlenecks, and adapt strategies. 

 3. Stakeholder & Donor Coordination

Serve as the primary liaison with the local authorities for:

  • NOC acquisitions, joint monitoring visits, and policy alignment.
  • Beneficiary validation via coordination with BISP’s National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER).

Represent the project in district-level nutrition clusters and advocacy forums.

Facilitate donor visits, preparing briefs and demonstrating impact.

4. Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance

Review M&E reports (PDMs, baseline surveys) to assess progress against KPIs (e.g., fortified flour , gender parity).

Submit timely donor reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly), highlighting challenges and measurable actions.

5. Risk Management & Problem-Solving

  • Proactively resolve operational challenges (e.g., POS device failures, supply chain delays, community disputes).
  • Implement security protocols in coordination with the Security Officer.
  • Document lessons learned for program adaptation and scalability.

Required Education:

Master’s degree in Development Studies, Public Administration or social scences /Project Management.

Experience:

  • 5+ years managing food security, cash-based transfer (CBT), or nutrition projects (experience with INGO preferred).
  • Proven track record in team leadership, budget management , and donor reporting.
  • Familiarity with Jaranwala’s socio-political context and local stakeholders.
